Gritton Wood Studio first started making beautiful custom boxes when Scott’s daughter married and told him about the practice of couples giving one another a wedding box as a gift. Included in the wedding box is the couple’s favorite bottle of wine and letters they write to one another. On their first anniversary they share the wine and read their letters. Some couples put a second bottle of wine and another pair of letters in for their next anniversary. Others convert the box to another use, with some ordering a couple of trays to insert into the box to hold jewelry, watches or other keepsakes.

Wedding Box Gallery
Several examples of wedding boxes are included in this gallery. Each box features customizations designed by the couple. For example one has a place in the lid for storing letters and another has an insert for his and her shot glasses. All have removable wooden supports that cradle the wine bottle.
